The 28th Annual Christmas Revels takes place at the English country estate of Haddon Hall after The Great War. The Lord and Lady of the stately manor can no longer afford the cost of upkeep and the staff necessary to run it. As they make plans to sell their ancient home, the ghosts of past generations appear to celebrate the winter solstice one more time. Can they convince the current owners to find a way to remain in the Hall, or will this be their final Yuletide at Haddon?

As always, there will be music, ranging from inspiring chorales to hearty sing-alongs, lovely costumes, and country dancing. The adult and children’s choruses and a brass quintet will add to the warmth, along with storytelling and performances by accomplished guest artists – tradition-bearers of the culture.

“The Spirits of Haddon Hall” preserves the long-ago winter traditions that join us together in humanity and community. Once again, eager audiences will play a part in welcoming the Yuletide – this time in an English country manor house that has delicious secrets to reveal.

The 28th annual Christmas Revels is directed by David Parr. Fred Goff is Music Director and Dirk Burns, Producer.

The 65-member cast includes Jeff Raz, who will be remembered as the Sun Fool in last year’s Christmas Revels; Robert Sicular, our King Arthur in the 2011 Revels and Saint Nicklaus in the 2009 Bavarian themed program. Revels perennial favorite James Galileo returns, along with a newcomer to the Revels stage, Cynthia Bassham. Also in the cast are choreographer Jeri Reed, musician and arranger Shira Kammen, and music director Fred Goff. A chorus of 65 adults, teens and children, The Deer Creek Morris Men and The Brass West Quintet round out the list of performers.
