The Chase is Jimmy Gillan, Caitlin Denny and Sky Madden- three club kids bent on pushing the boundaries in color, sound and movement. The group came together over a shared idea that "the club" as it exists now is in need of a new perspective. The Chase reimagines the aural and visual paradigms of nightlife in an effort to create a positive space for innovative exploration free of pretense and monotony. 

The night happens irregularly, adapting to different spaces such as the Capp Corridor’s warehouse/gallery space The Lab and Public Works’ official loft space in San Francisco. The Chase began in May 2012 with Suzanne Kraft, SFV Acid and Avalon Emerson and returns June 8th with Austin Cesear, Bobby Browser and Panavision at The Lab to celebrate a year of balanced curation and new ideas. 

In a city steeped in dance music history, The Chase mines through the depths of analog and performative electronic music to provide attendants access to both established artists as well as emerging local talent. It is a physical and sonic dream log that pieces together moments of the group's collective underground experiences from storied parties such as Sarcastic Disco and the Berghain/Panorama Bar.

Resident DJ Ash Williams (Gillan) has a penchant for anthemic diva house, soulful deep techno and cosmic balearic oddities. Visualist Caitlin Denny uses an amalgam of 70’s - 90's analog video synthesizers and live video feeds to create an interactive video outline of The Chase environment. Together, they support the guest performers featured at each party. Past artists include Pharaohs, Beautiful Swimmers, Roche and many more. Experience dance music with us on June 8th in widescreen.
