The only group in America that’s funnier than Congress. The popular Washington-based comedy group will bring their unique brand of humor to Santa Clara University. Known for its hilarious satirizations of national and local politics, The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people who employed them. For nearly 30 years, the group has performed for audiences across the country, including the last five presidents.Cast members represent a total of 18 Congressional offices with 62 years of cumulative House and Senate staff experience. Since they began, The Capitol Steps have recorded 29 albums, including their latest, Barackin’ Around the Christmas Tree and Obama Mia! Recent hits--Ebony and Ovaries, Obama Meets Osama, and the ever popular Lirty Dies--will keep you rolling across the center aisle!
