Internationally acclaimed as one of the world’s best trumpet players, Allen Vizzutti will perform with the San Jose Metropolitan Band on March 16 at 8:00 PM at the McAfee Performing Arts and Lecture Center, 20300 Herriman Avenue, Saratoga. Vizzutti will perform an eclectic concert that includes his signature tune, “Carnival of Venice,” along with “Ode for Trumpet” by Alfred Reed, and Vizzutti’s own “American Jazz Suite.” The band will also perform “Yosemite Autumn” by Mark Camphouse, Ron Nelson’s “Lauds (Praise High Day)”, “Salute to American Jazz” by Sammy Nestico, and Samuel Hazo’s “Arabesque”.
