Are you expert at something intuitive, impossible, or absurd?
Can you make someone love you? Do you know how to be famous? Would you like to know how? Do you long constantly to get your "groove" back? How can one explain the intuitive, accomplish the impossible, or make sense of the absurd? It is up to you.

Now is your moment to shine!
The Art of How-To: Intuitive, Impossible, and Absurd lectures are your opportunity to get involved with the SFMOMA's The Art of Participation exhibition. Selected presenters will be given five minutes to educate the audience with their knowledge and wisdom. The lecture set will be one hour long, divided into ten 5-minute slots. This will take place in SFMOMA's Koret Visitor Education Center, 2nd floor, on Saturday, November 29th, from 4 - 5 p.m.

If you are interested in participating, please send an email to [email protected]. Be sure to include your contact information and a brief synopsis of your proposed lecture topic. This participatory event is open to the general public with museum admission.


The Art of How-To lecture series is being organized by graduate students from the San Francisco Art Institute in conjunction with The Art of Participation: 1950 to now exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The lectures will take place in SFMOMA's Koret Visitor Education Center, 2nd floor, on Saturday, November 29th, from 4 - 5 p.m.
