The Art of Anime which will hold weekly screenings of the most famous and recent art anime titles from Japan. Screenings will take place every Thursday night from January 15 to March 05, 2009 at the Cubberley Auditorium on Stanford campus, starting at 7pm. All screenings are free and open to the general public, and we would like to have your help in spreading this information to all who may be interested in this unique event.The Art of Anime will be a great opportunity for everyone in the San Francisco bay area to discover the world of Japanese animation through the collection of the films presented. All works originate from the most prestigious or up-and-coming independent artists and studios in Japan, among which are works that have gained much popularity abroad as well as in Japan.
Among the artists presented are Tabaimo, Kondo
Akino, Kon Satoshi, Shinkai Makoto and others.
