ALAMEDA, CA - Brought to you by Airpusher Collective & Vau De Vire Society, we are honored to present you with the fifth installment of the rip-roaring, art infused, steam powered, Burning Man to the Bay experience. This year we'll be docking the Airpusher Airship in Alameda and getting down, all around Vau de Vire's magical and monstrous Italian Big Top for a steampunk meets circus mashup extravaganza! Five stages of sound, huge art installations, amazing live performance, immersive interactive activities, high flying aerialists, art cars, fire, and more await.

Vau De Vire Big Top

Spawned from the depths of San Francisco’s thriving Dance and Circus sub-cultures, the Vau de Vire Society has ravaged and titillated live entertainment, causing jaws to drop in awe and garnering admiration around the world. This Avant-Cabaret community consists of classically-trained dancers, some of the nations most acclaimed acrobats, aerial artists, contortionists and circus side-show acts, an array of unique fire-performers, a handful of gifted thespians and a barrage of the most enticing go-go’s.


Pulse

A creation of the talented Flaming Lotus Girls and unveiled at Burning Man 2016, this visual centerpiece is an anatomically-correct heart, beating fire through its four chambers to emulate the blood flow through the human heart. The outer steel structure is formed by the intricate vasculature and predominant veins and arteries of the heart. Above the heart chambers, the aortic arch shoots spectacular pulses of fire into the night sky.

Using biosensors, participants can synchronize the beating of Pulse with their own heartbeats. Participants also control the bursts of fire from the aortic arch using buttons and valves.


Parading Art Cars

Not to be missed, one of this years main attractions will include a truly unique Burning Man experience! Always wanted to cruise around on a mutant vehicle and shake your booty on a mobile dance floor? We got you covered with Art Car Rides! Cruise around, enjoy the view and experience this unique opportunity to ride an art car off playa! Rides run from 4pm-8pm, come out early and hop on!


RallyBowl

Artists Clody Cates, Gaige Qualmann, and Trevor Wright will have 10 lanes of RallyBowl setup at Steampunk Masquerade once again! RallyBowl is a new sporting experience that combines elements of miniature golf with bowling. Regular bowling balls and pins are used but each lane has a mini-golf inspired obstacle that challenges the player in unique ways (ring of fire, trampoline, 90 degree banked turn, loopy-loop, swinging sledge hammers, etc.). It’s like mini-golf with bigger balls! RallyBowl will be free to play inside the event from 5pm to 9pm, come out early and play.
