The 5K course is USATF certified.
In 2010, Susan G. Komen for the Cure celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the SF Race and, nationally, the 28th year of the Komen Race for the Cure, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, with well over 1 million participants since 2005. The Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
2010 Race Day Timeline
7:30-8:30am Race Day Registration, T-Shirt & Timing Chip Pick-Up
8:45am Survivors meet at the Survivor's Booth in Justin Herman Plaza to be escorted to the Start Line 9:00am 5K Timed Runners Start
9:15am 5K Walk & 1 Mile Fun Walk Start
10:15am Registered Survivors who wish to participate in the Survivor Tribute Ceremony meet at the Survivor Booth.
10:30am Survivor Tribute & Celebration, Survivor Group Photo
10:45am Awards Ceremony
9am-11am Health & Fitness Expo in Justin Herman Plaza
