Since her 2004 recording debut, vocalist Tessa Souter has been hailed as a truly standout talent and has been gracing venues from Russian Philharmonic halls to Manhattan jazz clubs and everywhere in-between. With three albums of expertly delivered standards behind her, Souter has now released Beyond the Blue which has been lauded as her “breakout recording.” This record features Souter’s own haunting and evocative lyrics set to the tune of crystalline classical melodies, backed by acclaimed saxophonist Don Braden, Christian Tamburr – vibes and John Shifflett – bass.
