Description
CHERYL unveils the exhibition China’s Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor's Legacy to the public of San Francisco with an opening party that is sure to shake the generals, cavalrymen, and archers in the Terracotta Army out of their 2,000 year slumber. CHERYL is a four-member, semi-anonymous, often cat-masked artist collective based in Brooklyn, New York, beloved for its video art, museum installations, performances and epic dance parties. They explore themes of mortality, mania, the feline-human connection, the limits of shoulders, the flammability of dollar-store hair extensions, and the staining power of fake blood. But that's not all. Revelers can see the exhibition, China's Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor's Legacy, the evening before it opens. Party rockin' DJ Nuxx (SF Bay Guardian's Best DJ in 2010 and 2011) will hold court spinning the best jams. There'll be drinks, bites, a photo booth, and more. The First Emperor never saw this coming.More Info
