"Tempo Vivo Concerts is dedicated to raising money for various local charities and youth orchestras. We proudly showcase professional musicians along with accomplished non-professional and student performers, all of whom share their talents with the community in order to raise money for deserving organizations."Northbrae Community Church will host the opening Gala Concert on February 21, 2010 from 3:00-5:30 PM.
Performers will include the Oakland East Bay Gay Men's Chorus, Bay Area Chamber Orchestra, Daniel Mandel Trio, Members from the Young People's Symphony Orchestra, Oakland Youth Orchestra, Tenor Steve Wedgwood, pianists Chris Erwin, Bob Fowler, Valdez Hill and Eric Anderson. Others will include Gospel singer Wanda Goree, cello duo Marcie Brown and Isabelle Lyden-Brown and opera quartet, Camerata Ottocento.
Proceeds will benefit the young peoples symphony orchestra, oakland east bay gay men's chorus and local aids charities. Seating is limited to 3oo.
