R & B music legends Teena Marie and Keith Sweat will be co-headlining at the San Jose Civic Auditorium on Saturday, August 22.As a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Teena Marie obliterated the barrier of race in soul music. She sings R&B with big, robust vocals and plays rhythm guitar, keyboards and congas. She has written, produced, sung and arranged virtually all of her songs since her 1980 release Irons in the Fire.
Keith Sweat first broke on to the scene in the late ‘80s with his first single, “I Want Her.” Since 1988, the multifaceted artist has sold over 15 millions albums worldwide with six landing at #1 on the R&B album chart propelled by hit singles like “Twisted,” “Nobody” and “Freak Me.” Sweat has perfected the art of his live performance as a result of touring almost every weekend.
