Description
TechCrunch Disrupt is a three-day, single-track conference and startup competition to immerse you in the debate about what’s changing in technology right now, what’s causing it and what we need to do about it to survive and thrive in real time.Disrupt SF will explore the Third Wave—a phrase coined by legendary Kleiner Perkins venture capitalist John Doerr in his interview with Charlie Rose at Disrupt NYC– namely the innovations taking place with social, mobile and commerce platforms and applications. The conference kicks off Doerr interviewing Zynga CEO Mark Pincus and Bing Gordan, the former Chief Creative Officer at Electronic Arts and now the partner at Kleiner who sits on Zynga’s board. Intuit founder Scott Cook and GE’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer Beth Comstock will sit down to share with the audience how they keep innovation humming at scale. Other speakers included Michael Moritz, Barry Diller, HP’s Todd Bradley, Google’s Marissa Mayer, Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi, Twitter’s Jason Goldman, and many more. Full agenda can be viewed here.
Each afternoon of the conference will feature the Startup Battlefield a tournament-style launch platform where 24 startups will demo their products and impress the audience and panel of experts over multiple rounds of competition. Experts will be brought in to mentor and judge startups on product, business models, team, design and usability and more. The final round will put startups in the hot seat to present to Marissa Mayer from Google, angel Ron Conway, Sequoia’s Roleof Botha and Jason Goldberg from Twitter.
Disrupt is taking place from September 27-29, at the San Francisco Design Center Concourse.
