NCM Fathom and Turner Classic Movies celebrate 100 years of Universal Pictures with four specially selected American classics restored for this momentous occasion. This installment features a screening of the classic 1963 thriller, The Birds. Directed by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock, the film depicts Bodega Bay, California which, for unexplained reasons, becomes the subject of a series of widespread and violent bird attacks over the course of several days. Starring Tippi Hedren, Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy, Suzanne Pleshette and a young Veronica Cartwright, The Birds still has the power to shock after nearly 50 years.
