Bay Area Cabaret continues its 2012-2013 season with Broadway legend Tommy Tune’s new solo show, “TAPS, TUNES, AND TALL TALES.” In this glorious performance, nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune takes his wide variety of talents to stage, singing, dancing, and tale-telling through his 50 years of showmanship. Tune has received numerous awards including the Society of Directors and Choreographers’ George Abbott Award for Lifetime Achievement, his own star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the National Medal of Arts, the highest honor for artistic achievement given by the President of the United States. His latest show “Steps in Time” wowed audiences up and down the East Coast, receiving rave reviews. This return of Tommy Tune to The Venetian Room after more than two decades is an autobiographical performance featuring handpicked songs from the great American Broadway songbook, his effortlessly graceful style of dance, and a collection of stories from his magnificent career.More Info
