The Nova Vista Symphony welcomes back guest conducgtor Anthony Quartuccio who will lead the orchestra in a program celebrating a new year and a new decade with Old World baroque and New World romanticism in its second concert of the 2009-2010 season.The Concerto Grosso of Handel features members of the orchestra in ensemble against the background of string orchestra. Tchaikovsky's poignant Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture and Dvorak's sweeping symphonic tribute to the new world of America, as he experienced it in the late a800;s, are both popular and familiar works appropriate for families with school-age children.
Tickets can be purchased at the orchestra's website or in the church foyer the night of the concert. There is ample free parking behind the church, accessed from Prospect, or Miller at the traffic light.
