Sushi is a favorite food to eat out - Why not learn the art of sushi making and prepare delicious sushi in your own home? In this hands on class you will learn the foundation of making delicious sushi from our local sushi star David Graham of Geisha Sushi Capitola. You will learn how to buy the freshest fish, vegetables and creative toppings that are used in making Maki Nori (sushi rolls) and Nigiri (finger rolls) that you can recreate for your friends and family.
We will learn: The whats and whys to sustainable sushi, Proper Fish handling techniques, Sushi rice (the ins and outs) How to prepare Kappamaki, Futomaki, Tropimaki and California rolls, Proper rolling techniques, Instruction on Sushi rice, Nori Selection and the proper tolls for maximizing your sushi making.
