Description

Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) and the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) are hosting a 1-hour teacher training webinar on Sept 19th.

Teachers will learn about both SEI and Education & Environment Initiative (EEI) curricula, and receive training from fellow teachers on how to use the curriculum to engage students in sustainability education projects.

Our shared mission is to make it easy to teach relevant energy and sustainability issues in an engaging, experiential way. Our curricula provide teachers with the technical content knowledge and the tools to easily implement curriculum units or individual lessons in the classroom. They are ideal for cross-disciplinary teacher partnerships to address academic content standards in a way that engages students in relevant current events and growing career and entrepreneurship pathways.

We’ll hear stories from teachers who have taught the SEI curriculum, and provide lesson instruction from EEI units. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas and ask colleagues for recommendations.
