Harry Brod, author of Superman Is Jewish? How Comic Book Superheros Came to Serve Truth, Justice, and the Jewish-American Way, and cartoonist Michael Capozzola engage in a lively and humorous conversation about the Jewish origins of Superman and other comic book heroes. Book sales and signing to follow.

Harry Brod is a visiting Stanford scholar and Professor of Philosophy and Humanities at the University of Northern Iowa and served on the Board of Directors of Humanities Iowa. He has appeared on CNN, Today, Geraldo, and other TV and radio programs. His articles have been published in numerous journals and popular magazines. He is the father of two children and still has his old comic book collection.

Michael Capozzola is a Bay Area-based comedian and cartoonist. His work has appeared in McSweeney's, Mad Magazine, National Lampoon, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Humor Times.
