Summer Intensive Program

Description

Ballet San Jose School is the official school of Ballet San Jose. The school has achieved national recognition as a premiere ballet training institution, under the direction of Lise la Cour. Training is based on the renowned Bournonville technique, and draws from French, American, Russian and Italian styles.

Ballet San Jose's Summer Intensive Program offers world class facult members and master guest teachers, committed to the growth and development of each individual student's technique and artsitry.

The mission of the Summer Intensive is to provide excellent training for the serious ballet student i na professional environment.

Curriculum includes men's and women's technique classes, pointe, choreography, variations, floor barre, partnering, caracter, jazz and flamenco.

The Summer Intensive takes place July 5 - 30 and is open for boys a girls ages 8 - 21. Tuition is $1,000 - $1,600. Pro-rated weekly rate is available. Housing is not available at this time.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2010. Ages 8 - 12 are from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, and ages 13 - 21 are from 2:30 - 3:30 pm.

Audition fee: $20

Please bring a headshot and photo in first arabesque. DVD/VHS auditions will also be accepted, and msut be received by Monday, March 22. Please contact the school for video audition requirements.
