“Bridging cultures and stunning audiences...” – JazzizJorge Strunz and Ardeshir Farah's innovative style of “ethno-jazz” has carved out its own distinctive path over the course of three decades. The two guitarists have been performing together since 1980, when Strunz left the popular Latin-jazz group Caldera to team up with Farah. From the beginning, the two found themselves conjuring up a visionary blend of music drawn from Latin American and Middle Eastern cultures. It's a creative mix of flamenco, classical, Afro-Caribbean, and Persian influences, matched with the improvisational spontaneity of jazz. Today, this inventive duo continues to refine its unique sound into a magical brew, enthralling audiences everywhere.
