The Street Soccer USA National Cup will be celebrating and bringing together men and women from 16 cities across the country that are overcoming poverty and homelessness through the Street Soccer USA program. There will be a "Parade of States" to welcome the teams to San Francisco during the opening ceremony on Friday, August 15 and we will also be hearing from the program's founders and city officials as the event kicks off. The event is free for the public to watch and takes place at the Civic Center Plaza on August 15-17, 2014. Join us for an amazing weekend of street soccer, food trucks, a live DJ, prizes, and the announcement of the Street Soccer USA National Team for the Homeless World Cup!

Street Soccer USA creates positive community through sports around youth and adults who are homeless, dramatically transforming the context in which participants live from one of isolation and marginalization to one of goal-setting and support. - 75% of street soccer players connect to jobs, housing, complete a rehabilitation program or further their education within a year of joining the program.
