Description

StoryFarm is a creative nonfiction cooperative for writers, thinkers, and other interesting animals. Join them on Saturday, October 5 at Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco for an evening of exceptional readings by six of the best creative nonfiction writers in the country.

Mix and mingle with your favorite authors, as well as other creative nonfiction enthusiasts, in one of San Francisco’s trendiest performance venues.

The readers for the evening will be:

• Author/Journalist Shane Bauer (Staff writer at Mother Jones and author of the forthcoming A Sliver of Light: Three Americans Imprisoned in Iran)

• NY Times bestselling author Howard Dully (My Lobotomy)

• Acclaimed Memorist/Novelist Linda Gray Sexton (Searching for Mercy Street: My Journey Back to My Mother, Anne Sexton; Half in Love: Surviving the Legacy of Suicide)

• Author/Journalist Jon Mooallem (Wild Ones: A Sometimes Dismaying, Weirdly Reassuring Story About Looking at People Looking at Animals in America)

• Writer/Stand-Up Comedian Zahra Noorbakhsh (All Atheists Are Muslim; Love Inshallah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women)

• NY Times bestselling author Julia Scheeres (Jesus Land; A Thousand Lives: The Untold Story of Jonestown)

Doors open at 7 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door.

*An exclusive pre-show wine & cheese reception will be held from 6-7 PM. Tickets are $40 and include admission to the reading. Advanced sales only. Very limited number available.
