Description
San Jose pop-punkers Stickup Kid just went acoustic with a cover of Smashing Pumpkins' "1979" for the Sin City hardcore hub Punks in Vegas. Usually, though, they're crashing headfirst through a melodic brand of faster-louder songs like "See? Even Billy Idol Gets It" (which is not at all about Billy Idol) and "Wyandotte County Lake" (although the acoustic version of that one was pretty good, too). They've been tight with Christian pop-punk band Blood and Water both here at home and on tour, and they'll be joined by them at this show, along with Till I Fall, The Antioxidants, Set Aside, Emerson's Dead and Daily City Symphony. - Steve Palopoli sanjose.com
