Description
What is often missing in our art making is the personal investment, the simple enjoyment of being present in our material. This is a workshop for people who want to discover enjoyment in the creative process and learn how to bring themselves and their subject matter into alignment. Taught by Joe Goode and JGPG company members. Start Simple is open to all levels of movers and performers.Each day will include:
Body Practice - zeroing out the body to bring it into receptivity
Improvisation - honing the skills of listening, responding, adding value
Generating Material - taking simple steps toward material that is authentic and original
The Art of Performing - learning to treat the performative moment as a moment of inquiry
