Description
For the very first time, a show featuring art created by stand-up comedians is happening in the most artistic city in the world, San Francisco! From September 19th to October 31st, Stand-Up 4 Art will take place at the Firehouse 8 in the City by the Bay. After an opening party on September 19 from 7-10 pm, Stand-Up 4 Art will present a comedy show on October 16th from 8 – 10 pm featuring the comics whose works appear in the show, as well as special guests. Tickets are $20 each and available on http://www.brownpapertickets.com.All proceeds from the comedy performance will go to Art Programs @ The SF Skate Club, an organization that helps and mentors youth in the Western Addition and provides them with life skills they can use to succeed in their lives, through art, skateboarding, cooking, writing and a wide range of other enriching activities.
Artist/Comics displaying art are Anita Driesberg Michael Capozzola, Mike Meehan, Kurt Weitzmann and Ed Attanasio.
