Description
The Arts Division and Theater Arts Department of UC Santa Cruz are proud to present "Insufficiency", new play by Carl Djerassi. Best known as "The Father" of the contraceptive pill, Carl Djerassi has authored many compelling science-in-theater plays, which have been translated into 20 languages and given over 100 productions around the world. This new play follows a Polish chemist named Jerzy Krzyz who has an unusual scientific speciality, Bubbleology, and is determined to secure a permanent post at an American university. However, the other academics dismiss him and his subject, causing the rivalry between them and Krzyz to take unexpected twists. Free and open to the public.
