Description
Combining the best elements of ’60s psychedelia with the neo-hippy movement, Sound Tribe Sector 9 moves, grooves and trips out in an electronic euphoria, complete with stellar light shows and dub-influenced break beats. After its formation in the late ’90s, the group accumulated a devout fan base, all of whom will swear to you that there’s nothing on earth like a STS9 show, period. Of course, nothing about the group is really “earthly,” with drawn-out hypno-trances and chaotic tape loops, STS9 is about as “out there” as a galaxy far, far away.
