Whether you are new to singing, re-discovering your voice, or a trained professional, this workshop is for you. Gain powerful tools through a multifaceted and holistic approach to the art of singing. In the workshop we will address:

*Technique: DIscover practices that enhance your pitch, diction, projection, range, and other basic mechanics of singing. Learn about the anatomy of the voice.

*Dynamics: Learn to play the emotional range of the voice. Practice carrying the same emotive intensity and focus whether you are whispering, belting, or crooning.

*Confidence: Empower yourself through releasing the blockages that have held you back from expressing your voice. Open your voice up to its fullest potential. Find your power through the voice, and break through resistances held in the throat.

*Creation: Learn tools to develop full presence in your singing. Gain understanding of how to create personal connection to the material to enhance your overall performance and depth of personal experience. Practice using your creative energy to generate lyrical content and melodies of your own!

This workshop will be taught by Heather Krysti- native Santa Cruzian, yoga teacher, lifelong trained singer and performer, and singer/songwriter for local band Feral Fauna.
