Description
Finding the middle ground between straightforward rock and roll and soul music is no easy task. This quest, however, is Solwaves battle cry (all while weaving in some synth driven New Wave for good measure). Solwave channels the raw rock energy of the past and the gut wrenching emotionality of modern soul, creating music that is interesting not so much in its individual parts but more in its unlikely, yet somehow natural, juxtapositions. Lead singer Joe Collins wailing vocal chops could easily enhance a riff heavy arena rock band or a groovecentric funk outfit.
