Pace Gallery is pleased to announce major solo exhibitions of new work by Robert Irwin and Lucas Samaras for our 2020 winter season. Two of the most influential artists of the last century, now in their eighties and nineties, they are continuing to push the boundaries of their practice with their latest bodies of work. Irwin's exhibition brings together 8 new sculptural works and Samaras’s features more than 70 digitally altered photographs, culled from the artist's personal archive of family photos.Both artists have been represented by Pace for over 50 years and together celebrate the innovative roots and rich legacy of the gallery on the occasion of its 60th anniversary year. The winter exhibitions have been organized by Arne Glimcher, the founder of Pace, and will open on January 17, 2020 at the gallery’s newly opened headquarters at 540 West 25th Street.
