SoFA Sunday

Description

Downtown San Jose's SoFA (South First Arts) District, a longtime center of creativity, is launching a new event series to celebrate the area's vibrant arts scene. SoFA Sundays offers added opportunities to experience the visual and performing arts of this community.

In addition, SoFA Sundays will feature new events at the Parque de los Pobladores (Gore Park) at William and S. First, including food trucks, art activities and music performances. Prize drawings will include gift certificates from Cafe Stritch, with additional prizes from other local businesses and arts groups in the neighborhood.

While the ICA, MACLA and the Museum of Quilts & Textiles are open every Sunday, these special SoFA Sundays events will take place from 12pm to 5pm on one Sunday per month. Also taking part in SoFA Sundays are: San Jose Stage Company, which has its closing matinee of The Addams Family on July 26; and City Lights Theater Company, which has Sunday matinees of West Side Story through Aug. 23.
