Description
Sister Soldier Speaks! is a unique Black History Month event spotligting the service contributions of black women in the US military from the Civil War through current conflicts. Veterans and local artists will provide perspective on how this affects the black community as a whole.Featured speakers: Former POW Shoshana Johnson, author of "I'm Stil Standing", NAACP image award nominee Arisa White "Hurrah's Nest", Aja Cuchois Duncan "Nomenclature, Miigaadiwin, A Forked Toungue", and Stacy Nathaniel Jackson. "Camouflage".
