About the Abilities United Art Program:
Since 2000, the mission of the Art Program at Abilities United is to provide artists of all abilities and backgrounds access to the Bay Area art community by selling and exhibiting their work in public spaces, corporations and art institutions. Through exhibiting and selling their work, people in the community have gained a better appreciation for the achievements and talents of individuals with disabilities. Over the past ten years, more than five hundred works of art have been sold through the Abilities United Art Program to people from all walks of life, including art collectors and corporate executives. With sale prices ranging from $50 to $500, the Art Program empowers artists by giving them one hundred percent of the profit made from artwork sales.
