Description
Live&Local, hosted by San Jose Downtown Association, is showcasing the music work of Phillip Glass, Facades, Andy Akiho, Yuko Uebayashi and more.Andy Akiho is the main performer for this installment. He is an eclectic composer who is currently in the running for a Ph.D in The Roger Sessions University Fellowship In Music at Princeton University. His primary instrument is a steel pan. With it he can make the most intricate of rhythms. Akiho has won numerous awards for his work. His debut CD, No One to Know One, was released in 2011.
Come see his work live on the streets of San Jose.
