About
The Silicon Valley Bujinkan Dojo has been transmitting the teachings of Masaaki Hatsumi continuously in the greater San Jose area for over 25 years. The art of Dr. Hatsumi, consists of a wide range of techniques and strategies from both Samurai and Ninja lineages. The underlying principles of Budo Taijutus are distance and timing, not relying on strength and speed.
Ninjutsu, although it often perceived as a dark mysterious art of cloaked assasins, provides us with the mental state and strategy to avoid harm. The Japanese character “NIN” of Ninjutsu simply means “perseverance”. Studying this concept we learn to avoid dangerous situations and prioritize escape. In our modern times, with the risk of law suits and police involvement make evasion and escape even more important.
The school of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu trains in a wide variety of techniques:
Punching and kicking
Joint locks and throws
Break-falls and rolling
Escapes from grabbing attacks
Ninjutsu training strengthens the mind and body, providing for a healthy life:
Improved posture and body awareness
Strengthening the knees, ankles and hips
Overall flexibility and back health
Improved coordination and balance
The Silicon Valley Bujinkan Dojo holds training twice a week in Cupertino for adults and exceptionally mature 16 and 17 year olds. We hope you will join us in this life changing experience.
