Join WritersCorps for an evening with acclaimed writer Sherman Alexie. Alexie will be at Herbst Theater on December 1 in an event benefiting WritersCorps.

The author of the film "Smoke Signals” and the award-winning book “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian,” Alexie will be give a talk and reading. Then, he'll be joined by youth authors from WritersCorps, a creative writing program for youth.

A Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Indian, Alexie has focused on exploring and reworking readers' perceptions of reservation life. Expect an engaging evening with a writer known for his wit as well as his silliness.

Admission is $20. There are also a limited number of $100 VIP tickets which get you into a 6 pm reception with Alexie.
