Universally acknowledged as one of the worlds greatest masters of the shakuhachi (the hauntingly beautiful Japanese bamboo flute), Kaoru Kakizakai from Japan, will make a rare San Francisco appearance and perform traditional solo pieces and shakuhachi/koto duets with local koto master Shirley Muramoto.
