Description
All for Free is set in a small Bosnian village where the residents are still suffering the aftershocks of the region’s civil wars. Goran (Rakan Rushaidat) is a drunk whose best friend Miro (Bojan Navojec) has lost his arms. A more industrious pal, Josip (Franko Dijak), suggests various business schemes, but it takes a tragedy for Goran to actually improve his lot in life. With some inherited money and a little hope, he buys a mobile cafeteria, fixes it up and drives to different towns charging little or nothing for the food and drink he offers. Though he’s operating under a poor business model, Goran understandably encounters an enthusiastic range of clientele, including a beautiful woman named Maja (Natasa Janjic). And in the course of making the acquaintance of a wide array of his countrymen, he finds some tentative meaning for his existence and hope for the future. In Bosnian with English subtitles. 94 min.
