This year, sf|noir’s popular event—The Shrimp & Grits Taste-Off is teaming up with Impact Hub Oakland’s acclaimed speaker series—Grits & Greens—to bring you Shrimp, Grits & Greens. Grits & Greens typically focuses on issues at the intersection of food, art and technology. Shrimp, Grits & Greens will bring the best of these two events together for a lively and delicious evening at one of Oakland’s prime venues for inspired dialogue.The evening will be hosted by Ashara Ekundayo, co-founder of Impact Hub Oakland and Founder of Grits & Greens which was launched in 2012 at Miss Ollie's in Oakland. Ashara has hosted at nationally attended events such as SXSW, as well as locally-focused gatherings like the SF Green Festival and Eat Real Fest in Oakland. Come and enjoy an animated discussion with our esteemed panel and sample Shrimp & Grits dishes from premier chefs representing some of the best in the Bay Area including Miss Ollie’s, Pican, Flora and others.
