Description

Celebrate the joy of the season with this renowned chamber ensemble in a program of warm favorites requested by singers and audience alike. Music of Britten, Byrd, Pärt, Biebl, Busto, Gesualdo, and Tavener joins that of the Bay Area's own Aprahamian, Conte, Bielawa, Nixon, Peterson, and others. Add two sparkling world premieres--from San Jose Composer-In-Residence Brian Holmes and New Zealand Composer-Not-In-Residence Christopher Marshall, and you'll unwrap new favorites at this unusual concert. 24 voices, a cappella. Early Music matched with contemporary works.

And plan to join the Choral Artists for a brief reception after the program.

"The Choral Artists sang with fervor, discernment, and tonal beauty."
-- Anna Carol Dudley, San Francisco Classical Voice

"...amongst the foremost unaccompanied singing groups... on this or any other coast."
-- R. Dane Danubian, artssf.com
