Description

Celebrate the joy of the season with this renowned chamber ensemble in a program of warm favorites requested by singers and audience alike. Music of Britten, Byrd, Pärt, Biebl, Busto, Gesualdo, and Tavener joins that of the Bay Area's best--Aprahamian, Conte, Bielawa, Nixon, Peterson, and others. Add two sparkling world premieres--from San Jose Composer-In-Residence Brian Holmes and New Zealand Composer-Not-In-Residence Christopher Marshall, and you'll unwrap new favorites at this unusual program. 24 voices, a cappella. Early Music matched with contemporary works.

And plan to join the Choral Artists for a brief reception after the program.

"The Choral Artists sang with fervor, discernment, and tonal beauty."
-- Anna Carol Dudley, San Francisco Classical Voice

"...amongst the foremost unaccompanied singing groups... on this or any other coast."
-- R. Dane Danubian, artssf.com
