Description

CIIS Public Programs & Performances presents

Chade-Meng Tan shares his unique view on mindfulness and emotional intelligence as the catalyst to changing our personal lives, realigning our professional destinies, and as means to working toward his ultimate goal: world peace. Based on the popular course taught at Google, Search Inside Yourself was created to elevate the work and lives of the best and brightest people at one of the most innovative, successful, and profitable businesses in the world. Deeply rooted in science, the course is designed to reduce stress, increase wellbeing, heighten focus, creativity, and performance, help individuals become more optimistic and resilient, build fulfilling relationships, and ultimately become happier and more profitable in their work and their lives. Based on the just-published book, Search Inside Yourself takes an unexpected path to achieving success happiness and world peace by way of the motto "optimize thyself"!

Chade-Meng Tan (Meng) is Google's Jolly Good Fellow (which nobody can deny). As one of Google's earliest engineers he helped build Google's first mobile search service, and headed the team that monitored Google's search quality. After a successful eight year stint in Engineering and two years as GoogleEDU's Head of Personal Growth, he currently serves with Google's Talent Team. His job description is "Enlighten minds, open hearts, create world peace."

Copies of "Search Inside Yourself" will be available for purchase at the event.
