Description

Join the Seymour Marine Discovery Center as they present another installment in their monthly Science Sundays series. Entitled "Pearls of Wisdom from Elkhorn Slough Oysters," this next meeting welcomes Kerstin Wasson, a Research Coordinator at Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve and Adjunct Associate Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UC Santa Cruz. Kerstin will discuss the remarkable diversity of habitats and species that Elkhorn Slough supports, as well as how this diversity is threatened by many human-induced changes to the watershed. She will also shed light on the science-based efforts that are currently underway to conserve and restore estuarine diversity at this unique location.
