Description
Join the Seymour Marine Discovery Center as they host another installment in their monthly series, Science Sunday. This month, they present a discussion with Beth Terry, author of Plastic-Free: How I Kicked the Plastic Habit and How You Can Too. After learning about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on the environment and human health, Beth decided to see if she can live without buying any new plastic. Now, five years later, she has reduced her plastic waste to less than two percent of the national average, and this experience has become the basis of her book. During the discussion, Beth will share solutions, stories, and the reasons why our personal actions really do make a difference. She will also be available to sign books and answer questions following her presentation.
