Description
Sara Watkins is a singer, songwriter and fiddler who made her musical debut in 1989 with the progressive bluegrass group Nickel Creek, which consisted of herself, her elder brother Sean, and mandolinist Chris Thile. The group won countless rave reviews for their no-genre-barred sound, releasing five studio albums and winning a Grammy Award in the process. Now with Nickel Creek on indefinite hiatus, Sara Watkins is currently pursuing a solo career, having released her debut album in 2009.
