Every Saturday and Sunday, the Seymour Marine Discovery Center presents a Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf Tour throughout the year. These 30-minute guided tours offer insights into one of the longest wooden piers in the United States, extending a half-mile out to sea in a dynamic and truly marine environment. Scientists at the University of California utilize this easy access to ocean ecosystems for conducting research in sustainable energy, biological oceanography, harmful algal blooms, and marine mammals. Free and open to the public. No reservations required. Attendees will meet at the Wharf Stage behind Olitas restaurant.
