Description
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a serious health threat in Santa Clara County. The county had the fourth highest number of TB cases in 2010 and 176 cases last year.The Santa Clara County Tuberculosis Prevention Partnership invites elementary school through community college students to create awareness of tuberculosis by submitting a poster in its contest, sponsored by Breathe California, RESULTS Educational Foundation, and Qiagen pharmaceuticals. The poster should promote the theme of “Stop Tuberculosis in My Lifetime” and be original, positive, and encouraging.
The winners will receive cash prizes up to $300 for both themselves and their school or organization, and have their work displayed in various locations around the South Bay.
The deadline is April 30th, so students should visit http://www.lungsrus.org immediately for an entry form and rules.
