San Jose Bass Club : Mack Blajik

Description

The San Jose Bass Club is a collective of local DJs and producers who are taking EDM to the next level. Their approach is to take elements of garage, house, techno, glitch and R&B and chop them up, remix them, blend in some pop melodies, jingles and even cartoon theme songs, and make something dizzyingly strange—yet familiar and infectiously dancey. They’ve been curating these monthly shows at the Playhouse Sports Bar in San Jose, with December’s edition coming up this Friday. From the Bass Club, Justin Weisberg, Johnatron, Bendi and Mr. Francis will be playing sets. Mack Blacjik will be headlining. His strange house and techno mixes fits right in with what these innovative SJ Bass Clubbers are doing. (AC)
