Maikaze Daiko produces the San Francisco World Percussion Arts Festival to celebrate the diverse global traditions of percussive arts through performances and workshops. Featuring Susu Pampanin & Troupe Joweh R. A. W. (Middle Eastern/belly dancing), Val Serrant (Trinidad/Tobago steel drum), Afia Walking Tree and Spirit Drumz (African Diasporic), Maikaze Daiko (Taiko/Japanese Drumming), Jim Santi Owen (India/tabla), Duniya Dance and Drum Company (West African, Bhangra, Bollywood Dance), Joe Venegoni (Jazz, Dulcimer), and special guests Hiroyuki Hayashida Trio from Japan (Taiko) and Quimbanda Grupo Carnavalesco, directed by Gamo Da Paz (Afro-Brazilian).More Info
